想到愛丁堡參加跨年,先把這首歌學好吧,這樣大家就可以一起大合唱,很簡單的啦!
Reference: Auld Lang Syne 寫於1711年(或更早於1677年),原歌名與歌詞皆使用蘇格蘭古文字,即蓋爾語所寫成,其意為「Times gone by」(時光流轉),或直意為「Old Long Since」。
AULD LANG SYNE
(Complete Poems and song of ROBERT BURNS)
CHORUS
And for auld lang syne, my jo,
For auld lang syne,
We’ll tak a cup o’kindness yet,
For auld lang syne.
1.
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And days’o’lang syne?
2.
And surely ye’ll be your pint-stowp
And surely I’ll be mine!
And we’ll tak a cup o’kindness yet,
For auld lang syne.
3.
We two hae run about the braes
And pu’d the gowans fine;
But we’ve wander’d many a weary foot
Sin auld lang syne.
4.
We twa hae paidl’d i’ the burn,
Frae mornin’ sun till dine;
But seas between us braid hae roar’d
Sin auld lang syne.
5.
And there’s a hand, my trusty fiere!
And gie’s a hand o’thine!
And we’ll tak a right gude-willy waught
For auld lang syne.
